City of Refuge Immigration Legal Services provides low-cost, high-quality immigration legal assistance to refugees, immigrants, and families in the Columbia Area. Our accredited representatives are recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and authorized to represent clients before USCIS, ICE, and CBP.
Due to high volume of consultation requests, appointments are currently not available until the end of January.
If you are experiencing an immigration emergency and need help before then, please contact City of Refuge at 573-454-1552 and leave a message after you have completed the registration form.
Why Accreditation Matters
Our representatives are DOJ-accredited through the Office of Legal Access Programs (OLAP). This means they are legally authorized to give immigration advice, prepare and file applications, and communicate with immigration agencies on your behalf.
Through our technical oversight partnership with World Relief, and collaboration with local immigration attorneys, our staff receive ongoing legal supervision, training, and support — including participation in AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) conferences and national-level continuing education.
