Become an Advocate for Refugees in Columbia

Are you passionate about serving refugees? Consider becoming an advocate for City of Refuge. As an advocate, you will play an important role in helping refugees successfully assimilate into our community. Here’s how you can get involved on the advocate level.

Become Part of the Family

Being an advocate is more than just supporting and volunteering. It’s about standing up on behalf of refugees and being willing to lend a helping hand in times of need. Together, our advocates support these families and individuals to give them the skills and confidence they need to become part of the community.

As many of our advocates will say, you quickly become part of the family here at City of Refuge. Advocates play an integral part in the lives of refugees – from responding to their needs to meeting with them once a week, their advocate becomes a trusted individual in a new environment.
